Get Involved With OCERA

Want to get involved with OCERA and help amend the Oregon Constitution with a fundamental right to a healthy environment?  Here are four ways that you can get involved, depending on how much you'd like to help shape and support this cause!

How You Can Be Involved

Volunteer With OCERA

Get involved with OCERA and volunteer to join one of our teams. OCERA has six different functional teams to consider --Strategy, Legal, Funding, Communications, Petition Operations, and Legislative Operations. If you have experience or insights you would like to contribute to any of these teams, we would love to hear from you!

Sign Up For Our Newsletter

Signing up for our newsletter is the best way to stay up to date with all the news, events, and opportunities surrounding this cause. Once a month, you'll receive short summaries of related news events, OCERA's progress, upcoming events, and different ways you can directly and meaningfully support the mission.

Join As An Individual Member

This is a way to be registered as an individual member of OCERA -- in a flexible status between receiving newsletter updates, but not yet signing up to volunteer.  You'll receive updates and opportunities for OCERA members when word needs to be passed, such as:

  • You'll be invited to attend our monthly OCERA meetings (third Tuesday of each month, 12pm Pacific).

  • You'll receive strategic insight in plans and operations, and be asked for your input on such matters.

  • You'll have the opportunity to help shape OCERA strategy and operations (without having to volunteer your time in the follow-through).  We are stronger together, and value your input.

Join As An Organizational Member

Whether you're a 501(c)(3) or other nonprofit, or you're a business, association, or other type of organization, you can make a difference as a member of OCERA.  There are many ways and levels to support.  For example, you can:

  • Request an educational presentation / meeting for your board or your membership at a future meeting.

  • Become a coalition member and endorse the effort with your logo and / or public statement of support.

  • Share routine communications with your members, followers, or customers.

  • Support operations through in-kind / monetary donations or organizational leadership (hosting events, supporting operational efforts), etc.

We Want To Hear Your Thoughts

Finally, if you are a stakeholder (individual or organizational) in how this amendment will work, especially if you're a member of a frontline community -- most vulnerable to the effects of pollution and / or climate change, we need to hear from you.  Please take a moment and provide your input on how the amendment should work, so we can be sure we're considering all interests and perspectives relevant to this effort.  Thank you in advance for your help!
